Assignments
- Class Schedule: Students will be able to review the class schedule and activities for the 2015-2016 school year
- Placement Test: Students will be evaluated to determine their Spanish level
- Learning Styles: Students learn differently from each other; therefore, I will review some examples of learning styles to help students succeed in my class
- Reading Activities: Will be assigned
- Quizzes: Will be announced.Types of quizzes: vocabulary, grammar, listening, spelling, pronunciation, dictation or translation.

- Assessment: Students will complete assignments such as handouts, quizzes, tests, presentations, participation, and teamwork.
- Projects: Throughout the year you may be asked to complete various projects. Some may involve intensive research and preparation while others may be very simple to complete. Therefore, project values will be announced for each individual project at the time it is assigned.
- Vocabulary: Students will learn and review basic vocabulary for each lesson
- Family Day: Students will have the opportunity to invite a family member and share pictures and stories in class.
- Homework: Written homework is normally assigned 3 or more times per week. Often, the assignment will be to finish a worksheet or activity that was started, but not finished in class. While written homework may not be assigned daily, all students are expected to review vocabulary and grammatical concepts every day for a minimum of 15 minutes. Daily practice and review is extremely important in learning a foreign language. Written homework is always due and checked at the start of the next class. Assignments that are completed with effort will receive credit regardless of containing some errors. However, missing, late, incomplete, or carelessly done homework is not accepted and will not get credit.
